OUR PEOPLE
Dennis Knose – President
Dennis Knose began working in the concrete business in 1990. While Dennis began doing line and grade (field surveying), he quickly rose through the ranks to become superintendent, project manager, operations manager, regional manager, and ultimately, president at Knose Concrete. Dennis’s specific experience within his various roles includes heavy foundation walls, mat foundations, data centers, arenas, casinos, hotels, warehouses, one-side concrete walls, hospitals, and multiple concrete-frame parking garages. This valuable experience has positioned Dennis as a regional expert in concrete-frame construction.
Bob Dixon – Superintendent
Bob has 40+ years of experience in the construction industry. From building custom homes in Ohio and Indiana to high rise concrete construction in Miami, Florida, Bob has seen it and done it all. Bob’s experience in finished carpentry complements our services. For the one-off type project and those with unusual obstacles, Bob has the knowledge, ability, and willpower to make it right.
Chris Van Treese – Director of Preconstruction and Project Manager
Chris earned his bachelor degree in construction management from the University of Cincinnati. Chris has experience in many sectors of the heavy construction market. Chris has been a project superintendent for the Ghent KY CCR transport project, and a field engineer on the underground Washington Park garage, Horseshoe Casino garage, and One Side Wall in Cincinnati, OH. Chris’s hands-on experience and work ethic have made him an excellent leader and manager for your projects.
Zac Smith – Superintendent
Zac earned his bachelor degree in construction management from the University of Cincinnati. Zac has experience supervising projects that include parking garages, mass concrete structures including proton therapy treatment vaults and linear accelerators, light commercial offices, heavy concrete frames, concrete core walls, and flatwork projects. Zac’s vast experience has positioned him as an industry leader in concrete frame construction.
Nick Tebbe – Superintendent
Nick earned his bachelor degree in construction management from the University of Cincinnati. Nick has experience performing field engineering and supervising a wide variety of projects including parking garages, higher education, light commercial offices, heavy concrete frames, concrete core walls, and flatwork projects. Nick’s laid back personality, layout, and supervision experience make Nick the perfect fit for your complex projects.
Jared Miller – Superintendent
Jared has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry with 2 years of college in construction surveying. Jared began his career in the survey industry where he worked for 9 years. Jared went on to work as a Field Engineer #2 working his way up to #1 and eventually Superintendent. Jared has worked with various types of construction including high-rises, data centers, hotels, parking garages, paper mills, hospitals, and other projects.
Rick Long – General Superintendent
Rick earned his associates degree in civil engineering and surveying from Cincinnati State. Rick began his construction career as an intern with JMA Consultants where he was later hired on as a survey crew chief. While at JMA, Rick worked on various types of construction layouts including the infrastructure improvements and boundary surveys for Paul Brown Stadium. He later became the lead surveyor for all stadium construction. Rick moved on to work for a large national concrete contractor as a field engineer, later being promoted to a project supervisor. Rick has been involved with various types of concrete construction including data centers, stadiums, arenas, parking garages, airport facilities, high-rise/mid-rise office towers, and other projects. We’re pleased to have a leader with the knowledge, work ethic, and dedication to see every job is completed successfully.
Steve Lamping – Superintendent
Steve Lamping is a seasoned Project Superintendent with a passion for construction and a wealth of experience. He began his career as a laborer, working his way up through the ranks to his current role, thanks to his dedication and hard work. Having taken construction courses at the University of Cincinnati, Steve combines his academic knowledge with his hands-on experience to oversee projects with precision and efficiency. Known for his trustworthiness, grit, and strong leadership skills, Steve consistently ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget. His commitment to excellence makes him an invaluable asset to our team.
Steve has worked on many high-profile projects, including Data Centers, Hospitals, Large Multi Family Facilities, Schools, and Casinos.
Andrew Sander – Assistant Superintendent
Andrew Sander is an Assistant Superintendent known for his unwavering work ethic and dedication to excellence in the construction industry. A 2022 graduate of Cincinnati State with a degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management, Andrew brings over five years of valuable hands-on experience to his role. His strong technical background, paired with his commitment to hard work, allows him to effectively oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, Andrew consistently delivers results and builds strong relationships with colleagues and clients, making him an indispensable member of our construction team.
Chris Engel – Equipment and Shop Manager
Chris Engel is a highly skilled and dedicated equipment & shop manager known for his resourcefulness, trustworthiness, and reliability. With years of experience in managing and maintaining a wide range of equipment, Chris consistently ensures that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. His problem-solving skills and proactive approach make him an invaluable asset, always prepared to tackle challenges head-on while keeping operations on track. Colleagues and clients alike rely on his unwavering commitment to quality and timely service, making him a respected and dependable figure in the industry.
Drew Horton – Project Manager
Drew Horton is a highly skilled Project Manager and Estimator with a strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Construction Management, having earned his degree from the University of Cincinnati. With exceptional leadership skills and a keen attention to detail, Drew has the ability to manage complex projects while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. His hands-on experience in the field, combined with his grit and determination, allows him to navigate challenges and deliver successful outcomes. Known for his proactive approach and unwavering commitment to excellence, Drew is a trusted leader in the construction industry who consistently drives projects to completion on time and within budget.
Oak McKean
Oak McKean graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2002 with a degree in Civil Engineering, With 25+ years of experience, Oak has been hands on in Supervising and placing millions of square feet of flat work, This experience has positioned Oak as a highly regarded expert in the place and finish sector of our industry. At Knose Concrete, Oak heads up our flatwork and also supervises total package projects. You will enjoy Oak’s easy demeanor, willingness to manage any issues that arise, and unsurpassed work ethic.
Steve Gammon
Gammon’s passion for Construction began at Cincinnati Technical College, where he obtained his degree in civil engineering and construction management. The rigorous curriculum provided him with a strong foundation in structural design, material science, and project planning. He graduated top of his class and was immediately recruited by a leading construction firm. Steve is a results-driven professional with a proven track record of excellence in project management and estimating. Steve’s professional ethos is rooted in integrity, adaptability, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, making him a trusted leader in our industry.
